ARTS & CRAFTS DIY IDEAS WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES

Want to have some fun time with your kids doing some crafts? Have a look at the following ideas!

Beaded Ornament

Simply bend a wire into a heart shape, insert the beads onto the wire, twist the ends of the wire together and form a loop so that your new heart shaped ornament can be hanged, and most importantly, give it to the person you love!

Yarn Wrapped Heart

Draw and cut a large cardboard heart and paint both sides with acrylic on the colour of your choice. Cut different colours of yarn and show your child how to wrap it around the heart shape. Let her/him continue with different yarn colours until the heart is filled with. Finally add a final longer yarn to use as a loop just decide where to hang it!

Suncatcher Card

Want to have some fun time with your kids doing some crafts? Create a 'love you' suncatcher card for someone you all love, together! First fold a card of the colour of your choice, draw a heart and cut it out. Start filling a laminating pouch with different coloured papers and once you are happy with your creation, laminate it. Finally paste the pouch inside the card so that only the coloured papers and visible from the outside.

Valentine's Fruit Wands

Get your kids in the kitchen for a funny and healthy Valentine's treat! You will only need watermelon, strawberries, raspberries, a small heart-shaped biscuit cutter and the 'wands' - skewers. Cut the watermelon in 1/2 thick pieces and let your kids cut hearts out using the biscuit cutter. Use a sharp paring knife to remove the stems off the strawberries. Show your kids how to insert the fruit pieces carefully into the skewers always supervising them! Finally cut off the pointed ends and serve them fresh for dessert!

Love Hand Cards

Fold a coloured cardboard paper in half, place your child's hand on it in a way that his/her wrist is in the folded bit of the paper and draw your kid's hand with a pencil. Carefully cut the hand off the cardboard paper and let your little one decorate the inside of the card with hearts of different colours. Then write "Happy Valentine's Day" in both sides of the outside of the card, and you will have your Love Hand Cards!

NOW YOU CAN SHARE THE LOVE WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES!
